A Beautiful Book by Barbara Barry
My good friend Barbara Barry has just published her new book, Around Beauty photographed by David Meredith, and it is a wonderful insight into Barbara's world of design. From the introduction by Dominique Browning, to Barbara's philosophy on style and harmony, it is an overview of her design life from products such as Wedgwood tea services, signature furniture for Baker, lighting for Visual Comfort, to her luxurious interiors around the world. Her inspiration from nature, art and classical architecture have influenced her work over the years, and her book is a celebration of this experience as well as her personal lifestyle!

hyacinth bulbs
this time of year, its a treat to see a sneak preview of spring...forcing white flowering bulbs is a way to get a jump start on the gardening season!
paperwhites take about 2-4 weeks, amaryllis 4-6 weeks, hyacinths are slow going, but the fragrance is worth waiting for, and tulips are also about 4 weeks...
